class=\"elementor-widget-container\">\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<ul>\n<li>The Army Staff is placed under the authority of the Chief of Staff of the Army.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Appointed by decree of the President of the\u00a0 Republic. He is assisted by the Major General of the Army Staff in charge of coordination, appointed by decree of the President of the Republic. TECHNICAL INSPECTORATE<\/p>\n\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-element elementor-element-a352b65 elementor-widget elementor-widget-text-editor\" data-id=\"a352b65\" data-element_type=\"widget\" data-widget_type=\"text-editor.default\">\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-widget-container\">\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<ul>\n<li>The Technical Inspectorate is placed under the authority of a Technical Inspector, an officer appointed by decree of the President of the Republic. The Technical Inspectorate is assisted by Research Officers and Assistant Research Officers, officers appointed by decree of the President of the Republic.<\/li>\n<li>The ranks and prerogatives of the officers referred to in paragraph 1 above are laid down by specific texts.<\/li>\n<li>The Technical Inspectorate is responsible for :\n<ul>\n<li>checking the conditions under which equipment is used;<\/li>\n<li>checking the storage conditions for equipment, spare parts and ammunition;<\/li>\n<li>checking the maintenance conditions for equipment and infrastructure assigned to the Army.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<li>The Technical Inspector carries out inspections on the basis of a programme approved by the Chief of Staff of the Army. These inspections are carried out on a planned basis in all areas. However, on the orders of the Chief of Staff of the Army, the Technical Inspector may carry out unannounced inspections.<\/li>\n<li>Each inspection mission is the subject of a detailed report in which the Technical Inspector reports to the Chief of Staff of the Army of his findings and makes any useful proposals for improving the conditions of use, storage and maintenance of equipment and infrastructure.<\/li>\n<li>A copy of the Technical Inspector&#8217;s report is sent to the Minister of Defence and another to the Chief of Staff of the Armed Forces by the Chief of Staff of the Army, together with his comments.<\/li>\n<li>The Army Technical Inspectorate comprises\n<ul>\n<li>the Secretariat ;<\/li>\n<li>the General Resources Office.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-element elementor-element-143298d elementor-widget elementor-widget-text-editor\" data-id=\"143298d\" data-element_type=\"widget\" data-widget_type=\"text-editor.default\">\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-widget-container\">\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<p>3. THE ARMY COMMUNICATIONS ANTENNA<\/p>\n\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-element elementor-element-141ef33 elementor-widget elementor-widget-text-editor\" data-id=\"141ef33\" data-element_type=\"widget\" data-widget_type=\"text-editor.default\">\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-widget-container\">\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<ul>\n<li>Placed under the authority of an Antenna Chief, an officer appointed by order of the President of the Republic. The Army Communications Centre is responsible for :\n<ul>\n<li>informing Army personnel ;<\/li>\n<li>promoting the Army&#8217;s corporate image.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<li>The ranks and prerogatives of the Head of Communications are set out in specific texts.<br \/>\nThe Army Communications Office comprises:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>the secretariat ;<\/li>\n<li>the Information\/Press office.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-element elementor-element-f9a713e elementor-widget elementor-widget-text-editor\" BRANCH<\/p>\n\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-element elementor-element-8370480 elementor-widget elementor-widget-text-editor\" data-id=\"8370480\" data-element_type=\"widget\" data-widget_type=\"text-editor.default\">\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-widget-container\">\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<ul>\n<li>Placed under the authority of a Head of Unit, an officer appointed by order of the President of the Republic, the Military Security Unit of the French Army is responsible for :\n<ul>\n<li>protecting confidentiality<\/li>\n<li>combating interference :<\/li>\n<li>protecting morale.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<li>The Military Security Branch comprises :\n<ul>\n<li>the secretariat :<\/li>\n<li>the Secrecy and Personal Protection Office;<\/li>\n<li>the Morale Office.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<li>The ranks and prerogatives of the Head of the Military Security Branch are set out in specific data-element_type=\"widget\" data-widget_type=\"text-editor.default\">\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-widget-container\">\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<p>5 .ADVISING ON CIVIL-MILITARY ACTIONS<\/p>\n\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-element elementor-element-8be5a06 elementor-widget elementor-widget-text-editor\" data-id=\"8be5a06\" data-element_type=\"widget\" data-widget_type=\"text-editor.default\">\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-widget-container\">\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<ul>\n<li>A Civil-Military Action Advisor, a civilian officer or civil servant appointed by decree of the President of the Republic, is placed at the disposal of the Chief of Staff of the Army for the design and implementation of measures aimed at improving assisted by Charg\u00e9s d&#8217;Etudes Assistants, officers appointed by decree of the President of the Republic, the Historical Service of the Army is responsible, in liaison with the relevant departments of other administrations, for :\n<ul>\n<li>compiling the history of the Army Forces;<\/li>\n<li>regulating military traditions<\/li>\n<li>codifying military habits and customs;<\/li>\n<li>supplying and maintaining the Museums;<\/li>\n<li>archiving written and audiovisual documents.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<li>The ranks and prerogatives of the officers referred to in paragraph 1 are laid down in specific regulations.<\/li>\n<li>The Land Army Historical Service comprises:\n<ul>\n<li>the Historical Office;<\/li>\n<li>the office of Military Traditions, Uses and Customs;<\/li>\n<li>the Museums Office.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-element elementor-element-f1ffdba elementor-widget
