CHAD FASTEN BILATERAL MILITARY COOPERATION"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Speaking during the solemn ceremony at the Hall of Acts in the Ministry of Defence amidst dignitaries, Minister Beti Assomo Joseph described the security partnership as an initiative of the two Heads of State, beggars of peace for the interest of the population.<\/p>\n<p><img fetchpriority=\"high\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-medium wp-image-11876\" src=\"https:\/\/mindef.gov.cm\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/09\/ISSAKHA-2-300x199.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"300\" height=\"199\" \/> <img decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-medium wp-image-11880\" src=\"https:\/\/mindef.gov.cm\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/09\/ISSAKHA-3-300x199.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"300\" height=\"199\" \/><\/p>\n<p>Minister Beti Assomo Joseph recapped that due to the geographical location and regional dynamics, Cameroon and Chad share diverse security challenges, such as terrorist activities perpetrated by the Boko Haram sect which is one of the major worries along the 1100km border demarcation the two nations share.<\/p>\n<p>The Minister Delegate at the Presidency in Charge of Defence further added that threats like, trans-border insecurity, terrorism, transhumance, illicit trafficking, and the circulation of weapons were the high points of discussion during the partnership agreement.<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-medium wp-image-11884\" src=\"https:\/\/mindef.gov.cm\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/09\/ISSAKHA-4-300x199.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"300\" height=\"199\" \/> <img height=\"199\" \/><\/p>\n<p>On his part, General Issaka Malloua Djamous Minister Armed Forces, Ex- servicemen and War Victim of Chad lauded the initiative of the two Heads of State and encourage the synergy that exist between the two brotherly nations.<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-medium wp-image-11892\" of the Multinational Joint Task Force of the Lake Chad Basin Commission geared at combatting the actions and activities of the nebulous Sect Boko
