He was speaking during the closing ceremony of the International War College (ESIG) Colloquium in Yaounde.<\/p>\n<p><img fetchpriority=\"high\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-medium wp-image-14012\" src=\"https:\/\/mindef.gov.cm\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/05\/CLAP-DE-FIN-DU-2-300x200.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"300\" height=\"200\" \/><\/p>\n<p>\u200ePresenting the colloquium report, Professor Henri Ngoa Tabi said global rivalries have shifted from conventional warfare to economic and cognitive domains, placing Africa at the centre of battles over resources, markets, and technology. He outlined four strategic priorities for Africa : strategic autonomy, regional integration through the AfCFTA, technological sovereignty, and cognitive power to control narratives and strengthen soft power.<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-medium wp-image-14016\" src=\"https:\/\/mindef.gov.cm\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/05\/CLAP-DE-FIN-DU-3-300x200.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"300\" height=\"200\" \/><\/p>\n<p>\u200eSpeaking earlier while opening the closing session, Brigadier General Nka Val\u00e8re, Commandant of ESIG, praised the interdisciplinary approach of the forum, noting that military and civilian experts, academics, and practitioners had produced proposals adapted to African realities.
