Presenting the equipment, the Director of Military Health, Colonel Dr Jean-Claude Obam, said each hospital has a capacity of 54 beds and is equipped to respond to epidemics, natural disasters and other major health emergencies.<\/p>\n<p><img fetchpriority=\"high\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-medium wp-image-14394\" src=\"https:\/\/mindef.gov.cm\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/07\/HEALTH-SECURITY-3-300x200.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"300\" height=\"200\" \/><\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-medium wp-image-14398\" src=\"https:\/\/mindef.gov.cm\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/07\/HEALTH-SECURITY-1-300x200.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"300\" height=\"200\" \/><\/p>\n<p>The hospitals each comprise 14 air-conditioned tents housing emergency, hospitalization, intensive care, surgery, radiology, obstetrics and pharmacy units, among others. They are fully equipped to provide quality medical care both in operational theatres and civilian settings.<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-medium wp-image-14402\" src=\"https:\/\/mindef.gov.cm\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/07\/HEALTH-SECURITY-4-300x200.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"300\" height=\"200\" \/><\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-medium wp-image-14406\" src=\"https:\/\/mindef.gov.cm\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/07\/HEALTH-SECURITY-5-300x200.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"300\" height=\"200\" \/><\/p>\n<p>Speaking at the ceremony, the United States Charg\u00e9 d\u2019Affaires and Interim Ambassador to Cameroon, His Excellency John G. Robinson, described the donation as a symbol of the enduring friendship and cooperation between the two countries in the area of health security.<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-medium wp-image-14410\" src=\"https:\/\/mindef.gov.cm\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/07\/HEALTH-SECURITY-6-300x200.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"300\" height=\"200\" \/><\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-medium wp-image-14414\" src=\"https:\/\/mindef.gov.cm\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/07\/HEALTH-SECURITY-7-300x200.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"300\" height=\"200\" \/><\/p>\n<p>Since May, Cameroonian military health personnel have been trained by American experts in the operation of the facilities. Following the completion of the training, Minister Beti Assomo announced that one hospital will be deployed to Maroua to serve the Adamawa, North and Far North Regions, while the second will remain in Yaounde as a reserve for deployment whenever needed.<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-medium wp-image-14418\"
