The ceremony was attended by a distinguished delegation, including the Minister of State, Minister of Higher Education; the Minister of Finance; the Minister of Forestry and Wildlife; the Minister of Decentralisation and Local Development; the Secretary of State to the Minister of Defence in charge of the National Gendarmerie; the Major General of the Defence Staff, representing the Chief of Defence Staff; the Governors of the South and North Regions; General Officers; alongside numerous civil, political, religious, and traditional authorities.<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-medium wp-image-15650\" src=\"https:\/\/mindef.gov.cm\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/09\/ESSAM-ESSE-2-300x200.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"300\" height=\"200\" \/> <img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-medium wp-image-15654\" src=\"https:\/\/mindef.gov.cm\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/09\/ESSAM-ESSE-3-300x200.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"300\" height=\"200\" \/><\/p>\n<p>Earlier, on July 30, 2026, the General\u2019s mortal remains were received with full military honours at Yaound\u00e9-Nsimalen International Airport before being conveyed to the Yaound\u00e9 General Hospital mortuary.
