The official delegation distributed presidential relief assistance to populations displaced by recent insurgent attacks.<\/p>\n<p><img fetchpriority=\"high\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-medium wp-image-16420\" src=\"https:\/\/mindef.gov.cm\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/09\/MINDEF-et-le-MINAT-2-300x200.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"300\" height=\"200\" \/> <img decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-medium wp-image-16424\" src=\"https:\/\/mindef.gov.cm\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/09\/MINDEF-et-le-MINAT-3-300x200.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"300\" height=\"200\" \/><\/p>\n<p>Addressing the meeting, the Minister Delegate highlighted the concentration of violent attacks in northern Logone-and-Chari, notably around Blangoua and Fotokol, while also pointing to unexplained population movements from relatively stable areas such as Waza. To counter the threat, defence authorities confirmed a military reinforcement, including the deployment of the Lake Chad Rapid Intervention Battalion and the Special Amphibious Battalion.<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-medium wp-image-16428\" src=\"https:\/\/mindef.gov.cm\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/09\/MINDEF-et-le-MINAT-4-200x300.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"200\" height=\"300\" \/> <img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-medium wp-image-16432\" src=\"https:\/\/mindef.gov.cm\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/09\/MINDEF-et-le-MINAT-5-200x300.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"200\" height=\"300\" \/><\/p>\n<p>Beyond military operations, the co-chairs stressed the urgent need to reactivate local vigilance committees, whose activities have declined following heavy casualties and insufficient motivation.
