59th edition of the National youth day: National Gendarmerie raises awareness on some current scourges
From 2nd to 10th February 2025, a team from the Civil-Military Action Service of the National Gendarmerie (SDAC), led by Captain NOTE MAKO Désirée, Head of the Defence bureau, was deployed to some High schools and colleges in the cities of Ngaoundere, Meiganga, Batouri, Batchenga and Yaounde, to raise awareness among young people on the dangers of some current scourges.

In this light, several presentations were delivered by experts from the National Gendarmerie and Dr. BINGONO BINGONO François, an anthropologist. They enlightened the youths about the dangers related to violence in schools and the responsible use of smartphones and social networks.

The team equally spoke to the young people about the risks of taking drugs and other psychotropic substances. They did a brief presentation of the National Gendarmerie, with the aim to inspire youths to dream of a career in the National Gendarmerie.

The discussions at each step of the awareness campaign was marked by immense satisfaction and enthusiasm from the youth.

The National Gendarmerie once again demonstrates its a public Service at the service of the public.
