Gendarme of the month: Lieutenant AISSATOU, best trainee of the 3rd Gendarmerie Unit Commander course
With an average of 16.23/20, Lieutenant AÏSSATOU came top of her class of 60 officers during the 3rd Gendarmerie Unit Commander Course (SCU-G), which took place from September 02, 2024 to February 14, 2025. Her secret lies in hard work, rigour and discipline.

Born on March 14, 1983 in Mbandjock, this native of Maroua in the Far North Region was admitted into the first direct competitive examination to recruit Gendarmerie Non-commissioned Officers after obtaining her Baccalaureat A4 Allemand in 2003.

Thus, she was incorporated on 08 March 2004.

Upon completion of her training, Lieutenant AÏSSATOU served in several units of the National Gendarmerie, including the East Gendarmerie Legion and the 402 Mobile Platoon in Bertoua. She was later placed on secondment to the Ministry of Defence (MINDEF) in 2011, right up to the present day.

With a constant desire to widen her knowledge, Lieutenant AÏSSATOU is currently completing a law degree at the University of Ebolowa. As the second child of six siblings, she also holds a number of military certificates, including that from the Practical Training Course for Officers of the National Gendarmerie (2021).

Married with four children, Lieutenant AÏSSATOU is always ready to serve the Nation with loyalty, professionalism and determination.
