39th Batch EMIA Cadet Officers visit ‘‘Fondation Famille Chrétienne’’ orphanage
The 39th batch of Cadet officers of the Combined Services Military Academy, EMIA on Sunday November 3, 2024 visited the ‘‘Fondation Famille Chretienne’’ orphanage of Essos, where they handed gifts to the less privileged children.

Received at the premises of the orphanage by Mama Suzanne, pioneer product of the 47 years existing orphanage, the care-taker alongside other staff, led the children into singing and prayer before the beginning of activities.

Cadet officer Oumarou Sabo Bakary, president of the ‘Unity and Patriotism’ batch on behalf of his colleagues said their visit apart from the social responsibility of the Defence Forces is also meant to better foster the civil-military link spearheaded by the President of the Republic and Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces, Paul Biya.

Just like Mama Suzan, an entrepreneur now volunteering at the orphanage, the beautiful souls of all ages receive training in different trades, attend schools just like all other children to permit them secure jobs and be useful for themselves and the society.

Among other gifts handed to the orphanage by the 39th batch were rice, cooking oil, tomatoes, milk, spaghetti, writing materials, buckets and dresses.
