As the special envoy of the Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces,Beti Assomo Joseph brought words of comfort and acknowledgement to the soldiers’ for the daily sacrifices towards peace and development.
The visit was a poignant moment for the soldiers, some of whom had never dreamed of meeting their boss, let alone shaking hands and taking photographs. The Minister Delegate was visibly moved by the joy and relief etched on the faces of the soldiers, who were thrilled by his visit.
Prior to meeting the wounded soldiers, the Minister Delegate at the Presidency in charge of Defence held a series of audiences with local authorities, including traditional and religious leaders. He congratulated them on their efforts to bridge the gap between the army and the population, fostering a spirit of collaboration and understanding.
