After an intensive five-months programme of theoretical and practical lessons, a total of one hundred and six officers of both sexes drawn from the National Gendarmerie, the Army, the Air Force, the Navy as well as three foreigners from the Central African Republic.
The graduation ceremony of the 46th batch of the Junior Command and Staff Certificate was presided over by the Commander of Joint Military Schools and Training Centres, Major General Philippe Mpay seating in for the Minister Delegate at the Presidency in charge of Defence, Beti Assomo Joseph. This batch achieved an impressive average pass of more than 90%. The overall best student of the batch was, Captain Mitlassou Leslie from the Military Intelligence Centre, scoring an average of 14.66 on 20.
The intensive five months training permitted the trainees to be seasoned in the defence strategy on difficult terrain. During their stay in the institution, they received both theory and practical training to enable them understand the major issues in Cameroon and also how to exercise command, which requires skills related to national and international operations in response to global threats. Especially as they are expected to be on the frontline to fight against the boko haram terrorist group in the Far North and the secessionist groups in the North West and South West Regions as well as in the East against the incursion of rebels from the Central African Republic.
