After the solemn award of epaulet at the Headquarters Brigade presided at by the Minister Delegate at the Presidency in charge of Defence promoting some Brigadier Generals to the rank of Major Generals as well as Colonels to the rank of Brigadier General, Brigadier General Pelene Francois thought it wise to celebrate this ground breaking event.

It was revealed during the celebration that, Brigadier General Pelene Francois, who is the General Coordinator of the Rapid Intervention Battalion is of the 29th batch of the Combined Services Military Academy (EMIA).

Speaking during the solemn event the Minister Delegate at the Presidency in Charge of Defence saluted the laureate for his promotion to the rank of Brigadier General, while at the same time enjoining him to double his effort as his present position warrants a lot of dedication and professionalism.

Thus, in this vein, the celebration of the promotion of Brigadier General Pelene Francois was applauded by all invited as they party a man of courage who has fought tooth and nail to curb highway banditry, poaching, the fight against the Boko Haram sect and a myriad of others.
