COMMANDERS OF 3RD JOINT MILITARY REGION, 3RD GENDARMERIE REGION COMMISSIONED
Following a Presidential decree signed on July 15, 2025, the Minister Delegate at the Presidency in Charge of Defence on behalf of the Head of State and Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces, installed the Commanders of the 3rd Joint Military Region and the 3rd Gendarmerie Region.

The installation rituals kick started in the regional capital of Garoua with the commissioning into function of the Commander of the 3rd Joint Military Region, Brigadier General Nouma Joseph who takes over from Brigadier General Agha Robinson Ndong. Still in a similar ceremony, Brigadier General Boum Bissoue Raymond took over the baton of Command from Brigadier General LOUBA Zal Pierre as the commander of the 3rd Gendarmerie Region.

While installing the officials in their different capacities at the command posts in Garoua, Minister Beti Assomo Joseph enjoined them to continue where their predicessors ended by curbing all forms of security threats faced by their area of competence which stretches from the North to the Adamawa Regions. To this, he urged them to protect persons and their property by fastening the security belt in ensuring a free and faire election ahead of the Presidential polls slated for october 12, 2025. Beti Assomo didn’t minimize acts of Highway banditry, kidnapping for ransom, cattle theft, transborder criminality and a myraid of others that jeopardizes the peace of these Regions.

The Minister Delegate at the Presidency in Charge of Defence as well called on the Commanders to collaborate with administrative, traditional and religeous authorities, not forgetting the population for the smooth execution of their duty conferred them by the Head of State and Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces.
