Appointed by a presidential decree on August 12, 2025 to this post that was formerly occupied by Colonel Mbella Epane Victor, Major General Tchemo Hector enjoined the newly appointed superior officer to remain dedicated as his post of responsibility is the pivot of activities in the Defence Headquarters as well as continue in assuming the roles attached to the post he is being entrusted with.

‘By virtue of the text just read, I congratulate you and install you to your new function, a service as this which is the focal point of the staff headquarters’, Major General Tchemo reiterated.

Among the duties of the newly installed Colonel are; coordinating studies of the defence staff headquarters, participating in the elaboration of the policies of international relations and ensuring the management of military cooperation with foreign partners for a coherent budgetary plan and preparing the forces for external missions.
