MINISTRY OF DEFENCE OPTIMIZES LOGISTIC OPERATIONAL CAPACITY
The Minister Delegate at the Presidency in charge of Defence, Beti Assomo Joseph on September 4, 2025 presided over the ceremony for the handing of vehicles to some personnel as well as formations in a bid to improve on the operational capacity in response to the ever-increasing security demands.

The ceremony that took place at the runway of the 101 Airforce Base, having as guests the Minister of Finance, Louis Paul Motazé and the Minister of the Economy, Planning and Regional development, Alamine Ousmane Mey was the occasion for Beti Assomo Joseph to hail the collaboration of their ministries in facilitating the acquisition of the automobiles.

The ceremony which falls inline with the vision of the Head of State and Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces in ameliorating the working condition of the Forces and the Commanders saw the exhibition of 227 specialized vehicles and equipment for the National Fire Brigade. The ceremony also avails the opportunity to showcase 136 other brand-new vehicles, including 29 official and service vehicles and 104 Land Cruiser BJ light tactical vehicles, carefully selected samples.

‘This achievement, authorized by His Excellency Paul BIYA, President of the Republic, Head of State and Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces, is a striking illustration of the constant high priority that the Head of State attaches to improving working conditions and strengthening the operational capabilities of our Defence and Security Forces. It is worth mentioning that these vehicles constitute the first consignment of a two-phase order.

The contract for the second consignment of equal quantity has already been awarded and measures have been taken to ensure that it is also delivered without delay.’ Said Beti Assomo Joseph.
