“The fight against illicit fuel trafficking”
On Monday 18 March 2024, a Maritime Patrol from the LIMBE Naval Base seized a huge cargo of smuggled fuel (approximately 150,000 litres),

being transported by a pirogue from a neighbouring country with a crew on board who had no identity papers.

The offenders were presented to the Commander of the local Naval Base for the usual formalities with the relevant authorities.
