“OBANGAME EXPRESS 2024 Closing Ceremony”
O Air Force Brigadier General EBA EBA BEDE Benoît, Commander of Joint Military Region 2, presided over the closing ceremony of the multinational maritime exercise OBANGAME EXPRESS 2024 (OE24) at the Douala Naval Base on Friday 17 May 2024.

This decentralised exercise was the first in a series of naval exercises designed to train the navies of the countries bordering the Gulf of Guinea to deal with insecurity at sea.

The OE24 edition tested the response capabilities of the national system for combating maritime threats, strengthened multi-sectoral cooperation in the management of a maritime crisis and assessed Cameroon’s level of integration in the Yaoundé Process.

In terms of results, the objectives set by the Very High Hierarchy were generally achieved.
