Following a coordinated action in the EEZ, the patrol vessels CNS LA BENOUE and CNS EBODJE boarded a pirogue from a neighbouring country on Monday 16 September 2024,

carrying 40,000 litres of smuggled fuel and nine crew members, all of whom had no identity papers.

The cargo and the offenders were presented to the Commander of the Limbé Naval Base for the usual due diligence with the competent authorities.
