‘THE FIGHT AGAINST ILLICIT FUEL TRAFFICKING
On 06 October 2024, the CNS AKWAYAFE, deployed to secure the north coast,

boarded a pirogue from a neighbouring country carrying around 22,000 litres of smuggled fuel and a crew of seven people, all of whom had no identity papers.

The offenders and their cargo were diverted and presented to the Commander of the LIMBE Naval Base for the usual due diligence with the competent authorities.
