” State action at sea by the Company of Combat Palmers”
Acting as part of the State's action at sea, a maritime patrol from the Compagnie des Palmeurs de Combat boarded three pirogues from a neighbouring country on 22 and 23 June 2024 respectively,

carrying a combined cargo of approximately 53,000 litres of smuggled fuel.

The 18 members of the three crews, all without identity papers, as well as their cargoes, were taken to the Commander of the Naval Base here, for the usual due diligence with the relevant authorities.
