The working session, which brought together experts from administrations operating at sea as well as those from specialized higher education institutes, aimed to examine the practical modalities for conducting marine scientific research campaigns in waters under Cameroonian jurisdiction, in collaboration with foreign partners.
Based on Decree No. 2023/167 of 24 March 2023, on control and coordination of hydrographic and oceanographic operations in waters under Cameroonian jurisdiction, the discussions highlighted the unifying role of the National Center for Hydrography and Oceanography (CNHO), as well as the need for synergy among local stakeholders.
