Accompanied by their closest collaborators, the two officials discussed a wide range of subjects. Firstly, they revisited the collaboration between the two nations in terms of the efficient management of human resources through initial and ongoing training.
As a second point, the two leaders went through with a fine-tooth comb the areas of reflection around the implementation of a language laboratory, the aim of which will be to equip not only the trainees designated for continuing and initial training courses in the Republic of Turkey, but also Cameroonian managers, in order to perpetuate what has been learnt. According to forecasts, the laboratory will be set up in three cities: Ngaoundéré, Douala and Yaoundé. The discussions, which were intended to be interactive, gave the two leaders and their collaborators the opportunity to make constructive proposals with a view to boosting this cooperation, which is continually being strengthened by the provision of specific training courses for both officers and non-commissioned officers.
A note of sadness was added to the discussions when the death of a Cameroonian national who had recently been accepted to study at a Turkish academy, but who unfortunately died during his training, was mentioned. The deceased was buried in his village on Saturday 02 November 2024, and the Turkish Defence Attaché took the opportunity to express his sincere condolences to the family who had suffered so greatly. A family photo and the exchange of souvenir gifts brought this working session to a close. It resulted in a set of proposals that could, in the days to come, give new impetus to relations between Turkey and Cameroon in the field of Human Resources Management (HRM).
