This get-together of military medical professionals which is a novelty in Cameroon had as theme ‘‘the social impact of military health in the 2nd Joint Military Region’’. The laudable initiative has come to change the dynamics and mark the history of military health in Cameroon by taking the first step in Douala. The objective being for the military health practitioners from all the military regions to better evaluate their medical-surgical capacities among themselves and to also make them known at both national and international levels.
The afore mentioned theme, according to Air Commodore EBA EBA BEDE Benoit during his inaugural speech threw light on the strong bond that exists between the Army and the Nation by measuring the impact of medical-surgical activities on the populations of our country. Evident is the just ended five days of free medical consultation campaign that took place at the 2nd Joint Military Region Hospital from April 14 to 18, 2025 which left the denizens of Douala and its environs totally satisfied.
The medical practitioners shared a wide range of topics and experiences in their various specialties while retracing the history of military medicine which has existed for ages especially during the 1st and 2nd World Wars.
