The ceremony that was attended by a delegation of the Ministry of Defence led by the Secretary General of the Ministry of Defence, Said Kamsouloum saw the newly sworn in magistrates pledge before God and Man ‘‘to serve the Cameroonian people with honesty, to render justice with impartiality in conformity with the laws, the customs of the Cameroonian people without fear nor favoritism, to keep the court deliberations secret and to portray a sense of high moral rectitude at all times and everywhere.’’
In his address to the newly promoted, the Attorney General of the Court, Djodo Luc enjoined them to practice their profession in all objectivity, independence, legality and be ready to respond to the call of the protection of and the respect of the law. The magistrate, he reiterated is the servant of the law, he has the obligation of observing equality, having the right to use the law and only the law and not pass judgements based on personal convictions.
The military trio, Captains Bidoung Elizabeth, Hiehies Kevin Landry and Lieutenant Ndo Ndo Cedric have been appointed to the military courts of Ebolowa, Ngaoundere and Maroua respectively, according to the October 22, 2024 Presidential decree.
