The ceremony was presided over by Rear Admiral ADE NKWENTI HILARY, Commander of Inter-Services Military Region No. 3 (RMIA3), in the presence of Brigadier General BOUM BISSOUE Raymond, Commander of Gendarmerie Region No. 3. The event brought together a distinguished assembly of civil and military dignitaries, notably the Governor of the Adamaoua Region, Colonel FOMOUNDAM CHUM Roger (Commander of the 31st Motorized Infantry Brigade), alongside key administrative and security officials from the garrison.

Following the military honors rendered to the Commander of RMIA3, the installation protocol formalized the new sector chief’s assumption of command. In his keynote address, Rear Admiral ADE NKWENTI HILARY outlined Colonel ENYE’E MEKA Manuel’s exemplary career path before issuing his strategic directives. Operating within a territory facing major security challenges, the new commander’s duties will focus on optimizing joint-service coordination, bolstering predictive intelligence, strengthening border surveillance, and consolidating the military-civilian alliance.

The second highlight of this national event was dedicated to the promotion of non-commissioned personnel. In keeping with military traditions, numerous NCOs donned their new rank insignia, while NCO trainees from the 2024 intake formally advanced to the rank of Sergeant, reflecting the trust placed in them by high command.

Following a working session at the SM5 command post and the traditional commemorative photograph, a military banquet brought the day to a close, celebrating both the continuity of command and operational excellence within the Defense Forces.
