The ceremony took place on the tarmac of the 301 Airforce Base in the presence of the Commander of the 3rd Gendarmerie Region, Brigadier General Boum Bissoue Raymond, administrative ,military, traditional, religious authorities, defence personnel, family and invited guests.

The event marked the official transfer of command from Colonel Kanedja Yonkeu Christian to Colonel Bayoi Mang Herman, who assumes responsibility of leading one of the key operational units of the Cameroonian Air Force. The ceremony was characterized by Rear Admiral Ade Nkenty Hillary receiving the flag of command from the former commander and handing it over to the new commander, a military formality which symbolizes the continuity of command within the Defence Forces.

Colonel Bayoi Mang Herman went ahead to solemnly command the troops present followed by military honors hence, opening a new chapter in the leadership of the 301 Airforce Base. This was followed by the handing of a bouquet of flowers to the Colonel by his children.
In his address, Rear Admiral Ade Nkenty Hillary Clinton underscored the importance of leadership, discipline and operational effectiveness in the execution of military missions. He called on the newly installed commander to build on the achievements of his predecessors and continue fostering professionalism and cohesion within the 301 Airforce Base.

It is worth mentioning that, Colonel Bayoi Mang Herman is a senior officer of the Cameroon Air Force and an Aeronautical Engineer specializing in Aeronautic Systems.
He received his initial military training at the prestigious École de l’Air de Salon-de-Provence in France, where he trained as an Air Force officer. Married and a father of four children, Colonel Bayoi combines operational experience with a strong academic background.

Throughout his career, he has held several key appointments within the Cameroon Air Force contributing significantly to the operational readiness and technical capability of the Cameroon Air Force. Reasons why he has been recognized for his expertise in aircraft maintenance, aeronautical engineering, logistics, and military leadership. His appointment as Commander of the 301 Airforce Base reflects the confidence placed in his professional competence, leadership qualities, and extensive experience in the management of air operations and technical support structures.
