At dawn on July 24, 2025, the candidates gathered at Laf, a village situated 20km from Salak, which served as the starting point of the race. Before the beginning of the race, Colonel Touang Djakjinkreo who is in charge of operations for the 2025 BIR recruitment reminded them of security mesures to be observed while running.

Immediately after singing the national anthem they took off and at the end, 850 candidates were retained, among whom was 22 year-old Djana François, who was first.

Later in the day, the retained candidates participated in another 10km race without load as well as physical exercises such as push ups, stretch ups, robe climbing and psychotechnical tests. Intensive medical exams will continue on July 25, 2025.
