The opening ceremony of the camp doped โโPG Holiday Sports 2025โโchaired by the commander of the Presidential Guard, Colonel Bekoโo Abondo Raymond Jean Charles took place on June 20, 2025 at the multi-purpose sport complex of the Presidential Guard in the Yaounde, Obili neighborhood.

Hence, from June 20 to August 13, 2025, the Presidential Guard will through a hundred and fifty military and civilian supervisors carry out the task of guiding children during this holiday period in twenty-two disciplines among which are athletics, basketball, football, gymnastics, self-defense, handball, judo, karate, taekwondo and lots more.
Colonel Bekoโo Abondo Raymond Jean Charles, who was visibly satisfied with the efforts put in by his personnel for the success of this traditional recreational activities together with a special invitee in the person of the captain of the indomitable lionโs football team made a tour of all the workshops and recommended that the safety of the kids be top priority.
This laudable initiative of the Presidential Guard seeks to promote living together between children of diverse social and cultural backgrounds, encourage the growth of talents by letting the over two thousand children enrolled to partake in the different sporting disciplines, artistic and cultural activities. Without forgetting that it will go a long way to canalize, consolidate national unity and develop patriotism in the youth.
The major innovation this year is the introduction of the taekwondo discipline and excursions, which will be organized at the reunification monument, the national museum and the Paul Biya glass palace actually hosting the National Assembly.
