The event drew attendees from far and wide, with military personnel resplendent in their ceremonial attire and civilian staff shining in traditional and formal wear. Representing the military, Major General Tchemo Hector, Deputy Defence Chief of Staff took the podium to express heartfelt wishes for the Minister Delegate’s health and prosperity, extending the greetings to his family as well.

In response, Beti Assomo Joseph expressed deep gratitude for the wishes, lauding the military for their unwavering professionalism and dedication to their duties. The celebration was particularly special as the Minister Delegate at the Presidency in charge of Defence amplified the felicitation of the Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces to the military during his New Year address to the nation on December 31, 2025, which he had listened to with keen interest alongside troops in Nkongsamba.

The event was filled with moments of levity, courtesy of musical performances by acclaimed military and international artists, including the renowned Keguegue International, whose witty humour brought smiles and relief to the audience.

The ceremony underscored the strong bond within the Defence Family and their commitment to serving Cameroon with distinction. As the attendees dispersed, they carried with them warm memories of a joyous celebration and a renewed sense of purpose.
