Africa military games: Cameroon TAEKWONDO athletes shine with 3 medals
The Cameroonian delegation concluded its competitions at the African Military Games on November 24, 2024, with two final Taekwondo matches. Mbah Georges represented Cameroon in the under 80 kg category. With palpable intensity, he utilized his speed and agility to score valuable points, culminating in a performance that earned him a bronze medal.

On the contrary, Cameroonian athlete Bentsana COME Gerard, competing in the over 87 kg category, faced a strong opponent from Libya. Despite his attempts to take the initiative with quick strikes, he was forced into a defensive position under increasing pressure. Unfortunately, a series of blows from his adversary led to a KO elimination, leaving him without a medal in this highly competitive bout.

As a team, the Cameroonian Taekwondo athletes collectively earned a total of three medals that is, two silvers and one bronze. Their efforts contributed to the overall success of the Cameroonian delegation, which will be bringing home a total of five medals that is, one gold, three silvers and one bronze.
