BRIGADIER GENERAL AGHA ROBINSON NDONG TAKES COMMAND IN THE 4TH JOINT MILITARY REGION
Minister Beti Assomo Joseph on behalf of the Head of State and Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces, on Thursday August 21, 2025 commissioned Brigadier General Agha Robinson as Commander of the 4th Joint Military Region.

Speaking during the installation ceremony, Minister Beti Assomo Joseph situated the security context of the Far-North Region characterized not only by the menance of the Boko Haram sect, but other threats amongst which is poaching, highway banditry, transborder criminality, kidnapping for ransom, trafficking of arms and drugs.

     

The Minister Delegate at the Presidency in charge of Defence called on the incombent commander who took over from Major General Saly Mohamadou to continue in the same light and keep the Region out from insecurity.

   

He reiterated that Brigadier General Agha Robinson Ndong, former Commander of the 3rd Joint Military Region, should promote the indissoluble bond that exist between the Army and the nation. Keep the Region safe for a free and faire election likewise back to school preparations.

   

Minister Beti Assomo lauded the effort of the vigilance committee on behalf of the Head of State and Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces in accompanying the Defence and security forces in the fight against the Boko Haram sect.
