DEFENDING FAP CHAMPIONS BOW TO TKC IN PLAY OFF FINALS
It was in an atmosphere of intense heat, tension and fierce combat at the Japoma Douala Gymnasium that the FAP (Forces Armées et Police) handball women’s team bowed to TKC (Tonnerre Kalara Club) in the play off finals of the Club Championship games on August 30, 2025.

Under the watchful eyes of Brigadier General Ngolo Ngomba Tobie Gabriel, Commander of the 2nd Joint military Region, 1st class soldier Ngono Bikila Viviane, captain of the lady’s team and her mates who mounted much pressure during the first half found it difficult converting all chances leading to their 22-21 defeat at the sound of the final whistle.

After leading four consecutive matches from day 26 of August through 29, defeating FANZ, New Challenge, Soleil Levant and finally Batchenga, TKC the main challenger even in previous games proved difficult to cross over.

‘We are very satisfied with the performance of our girls but today it was destined that we would not win because we did all what we could do. We congratulate our opponents, we will go back into training and be ready to beat them next time,’ said coach Menguede Burchard.

‘Being the first time that I came to see you, I must say I was not disappointed. Be courageous, next time we will beat them, transform your tears into sweat during your trainings’ were the words of the Commander of the Second Joint Military Region who joined the team in the locker room to cheer them up alongside Colonel Ambani Ebini Alain Roger, President of the women’s FAP handball team.

FAP ladies team holds the title of Champions of the Cameroon Cup.
