Health for all: Douala residents benefit from free medical consultation
The Second Joint Military Region Hospital in Douala has launched its fourth edition of the free patient consultation campaign, offering a unique opportunity for the community to access quality healthcare services. This initiative, which kicked off on November 25, 2024, aims to provide free consultations to 3,000 people, with a special focus on various health pathologies, including psychiatry, urology, ophthalmology, dermatology, and cardiology.

According to Colonel Koki Godefroy, Commander of the 2nd Joint Military Region Hospital, “We are at the end of the year, and I think the best capital for each of us is our health.” He emphasized that this campaign is an excellent opportunity for the hospital to give back to the community and promote a healthier lifestyle.

The campaign features a range of services, including preliminary consultations, specialized tests, and first aid treatment. The Ministry of Public Health has also supported the initiative by providing hepatitis B test kits.

In addition to the free consultations, the hospital is offering a 50% discount on all complementary consultations requested by general or specialist doctors within the month of December.

This campaign is part of the Army’s effort to bond with the Nation, as called for by the President of the Republic and Commander-in-chief of the Armed, Paul Biya.
