MILITARY, CIVILIAN PERSONNEL RECEIVE NEW EPAULETTES, MEDALS IN RECOGNITION OF THEIR SERVICES TO THE NATION
The Minister Delegate at the Presidency in charge of Defence, Beti Assomo Joseph officiated the ceremony of awards of epaulettes to some meritorious military personnel and the award of medals to some personnel of the Defence Forces as well as civilians at the ceremonial ground of the Headquarters Brigade on July 1, 2025.

The first phase of the colorful ceremony which was attended by top military and government officials consisted of the award of medals comprising the Medal of the Order of Valor, Cameroon Order of Merit, Agricultural Order of Merit, Sports Order of Merit, Medal of Valiancy, Medals of Merit of the Forces of Law and Order and the Labor Medal of Honor to some military and civilian personnel of the Defence Forces as well as to eligible civilians.

During the second phase, it was equally all smiles at the esplanade of the Headquaters Brigade as military personnel promoted to higher ranks came out in their numbers to receive new epaulettes in the presence of family members and friends.

After the reading of the different presidential decrees and ministerial decisions by the Head of the Communication Division of the Ministry of Defence, Navy Captain Atonfack Nguemo Cyril Serge, the Officers of the National Gendarmerie, Infantry, Air Force and Navy were for the second quarter of the 2025 budgetary year affixed new epaulettes by the Minister Delegate and his close collaborators.

Non-commissioned officers of the National Gendarmerie, Infantry, the Air force and the Navy as well as Soldiers of the Rank and File were on their part awarded new epaulettes on the account of the 3rd quarter of the 2025 budgetary year.

The award of epaulettes to military personnel, marks promotions within the Defense Forces. It involves the presentation of new epaulettes by the hierarchy to Officers, Non-commissioned Officers and Soldiers of the Rank and File for their dedication and loyal services rendered to the nation. The ceremony follows a hierarchical structure with officers taking precedence followed by Non-commissioned Officers and soldiers of the Rank and File.
