MINDEF receives New Year wishes from Military and Civilian personnel
Military and civilian personnel of the Ministry of Defence on the 17th of January 2025 converged at the esplanade of the Defence Ministry to extend new year wishes to the Minister Delegate at the Presidency in charge of Defence, Beti Assomo Joseph.

The ceremony that saw the attendance of the Secretary of State to the Minister of Defence in charge of the National Gendarmerie, Galaxe Etoga Yves Landry, the Secretary of State to the Minister of Defence in charge of Ex-servicemen and War Victims Koumpa Issa, the Defence Chief of Staff, Lieutenant General Rene Claude Meka, the Secretary General of the Ministry of Defence, Saïd Kamsoulom, Military attaches of friendly countries and partners as well as a cross section of the Military High Command saw the Chief of Defence Staff, utter words of new year wishes to Beti Assomo Joseph and his family on behalf of the entire military personnel nationwide.

Speaking in response to the warm words of the Defence Chief of Staff, the Minister Delegate at the Presidency in charge of Defence praised the Defence Forces who through their efforts permitted for a positive security balance sheet of the year 2024, ensuring the safeguard of the national integrity, while cautioning them to continue to respect the rules and regulations guiding the military profession, shunning anti professional practices such as the propagation of military and most especially confidential information over the various social media, be it WhatsApp, Facebook and Tiktok.

Endowed with many talents, the personnel of the Defence Forces showcased their dancing skills, humour, music and chorographic displays from the combined forces bands and orchestras. Not leaving out the Army and the Nation bond sealed by renowned civilian artist and humourist Keguegue International.
