This partnership aims to provide essential resources and opportunities for those who have served their country and faced the challenges of war.

Speaking during the signing agreement, Minister Beti Assomo Joseph emphasized on the importance of this collaboration, stating that it represents a crucial step towards empowering Ex-servicemen and War Victims. By partnering with the NEF, the initiative aims to facilitate a smoother transition for these individuals into civilian life, equipping them with the necessary skills and opportunities to become productive members of society.

This partnership is expected to contribute significantly to the long-term socio-economic reintegration of these individuals, reducing the risk of marginalization and recurrence of conflict. By providing access to financial assistance, vocational training, and entrepreneurship support, the agreement aims to foster self-reliance among Ex-servicemen and War Victims, thereby contributing to the nation’s economic development.

Furthermore, the successful reintegration of these individuals will play a vital role in fostering reconciliation and reducing social tensions, promoting a more inclusive and harmonious society. The support offered through this initiative addresses the physical, psychological, and social needs of the target group, ultimately improving their overall well-being and quality of life.

It should be recalled that, the National Employment Fund (NEF) is a vital public service in Cameroon, dedicated to promoting employment by connecting job seekers with employers. It offers a range of support services, including resume writing, interview preparation, formal and on-the-job training, and financing for self-employment and micro-enterprise projects. Funded partly by a payroll tax on employers, the NEF is integral to the government’s employment policy implementation, particularly through programs like the Graduate Employment Program (PED) and youth entrepreneurship support.
