On hand to welcome the Major General at the ‘Audacieux Hall’, of the Minkama Presidential Guard Training Centre, was the Commander of the Presidential Guard, Colonel Beko’o Abondo Raymond Jean Charles, where he presented the objectives and course outline of both the refresher and elementary training programs of Commandos, marked by theory and practical lessons, sanctioned with evaluations after each training module.
As part of the demonstration of their tactical and operational readiness at the shooting range, the Commander of the Presidential Guard training Centre, Lieutenant-Colonel Zolo Jean Michel guided the Major General and entourage to witness the trainees cross forest obstacles to end up shooting targets at a 100, 50 and 30 meters range.
The trainees exhibited their self defence tactics and technics, a proof of a continuation of combat even with the absence of lethal or non-lethal weapons.
After the oath taking ritual to the flag by the 700 elite commandos of the Presidential Guard, Major General Philippe Mpay declared them ready and commended them to hard work and discipline.
