Some 1800 meriterous candidats have joint the Rapid Intervention Batallion (BIR) training centers following preselection and the selection test. The results were made know in a press released signed by the Minister Delegate at the Presidency in charge of Defence, Joseph Beti Assomo.
In all 900 recruits will undergo training at the Man O’ War Bay training centre in Limbe, South West Region and the other 900 will be trained at the Salak BIR training centre in Maroua, Far North Region.
At the Man o’ War Bay training centre in Limbe, the Commander of the centre, Lieutenant Colonel Tapele Oumarou reassured that the the process of registration of the recruits is going on hitchfree as Captain Famsone Bakari is cordinating the biometric identification process, the Human Ressource Department of the Ministry of Defence under the supervision of Lieutenant Evina head of the recruitment bureau is ensuring the filling of the contract forms while the Military Security is collecting individual data of the respective candidates.
