Saint Sylvester: BETI ASSOMO Joseph crosses over with troops to 2026.
After Touboro in the Mayo-Rey Division of the North Region, Minister Beti Assomo Joseph showed a spirit of camaraderie as he crosses over with the troop to 2026 at the Command Post of the Field Artillery Regiment in Nkongsamba, Moungo Division of the Littoral Region.

While at the Command Post of the Field Artillery Regiment, amidst administrative, religious, traditional and military authorities, the Minister Delegate at the Presidency in Charge of Defence listened to the traditional end of year speech by the Head of State and Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces.

While addressing the Nation, the Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces., remain constant and conscious of the socio-political climate of the country. To this, he lauded the effort of the defence and security forces for their professionalism and tact in handling all forms of security threats. To this, he urges them to stay focus in the preservation of our territorial integrity.

After the traditional discourse by the Head of State, Minister Beti Assomo Joseph converged with the troop of the Nkongsamba garrison to share a common meal animated by the main band of the army. He made a toast as he cheers with the troop of all rank at midnight to welcome 2026 with determination and conviction to weather the storm.

To conclude his working visit in Nkongsamba, Minister Beti Assomo Joseph presided the award of epaulets to meritorious personnel promoted to higher ranks for the first semester of the 2026 budgetary year in the Ministry of Defence.

It should be noted that, his two-day to working visit to Nkongsamba, is in keeping with the tradition established by the Head of State for several years and follows after KIDJI- MATARI in MAYO-SAVA, FOTOKOL in LOGONE-AND-CHARI, MAMFE in MANYU, KYE-OSSI in the NTEM VALLEY, BOSSANGOA and BANGUI with the Cameroonian Battalion in MINUSCA in the Central African Republic, TIBATI in DJEREM, DSCHANG in MENOUA, GAROUA BOULAÏ in the LOM-AND-DJEREM, JABANE in the BAKASSI PENINSULAR and TOUBORO in the MAYO-REY.
