The event highlighted the promotion of arts within the Ministry of Defence and showcased the incredible talents of military and civilian artists. This third edition featured numerous participants who displayed their creativity across literature, visual, and musical arts. Inspired by the theme ββPatriotismββ, the artists produced remarkable works that truly resonated with the audience.
After a pre-selection and selection process overseen by experts from the Ministry of Arts and Culture and the Ministry of Defence, the candidates were retained and ranked based on the quality of their work and adherence to the established criteria demonstrated ingenuity and creativity through their performances related to the theme ββPatriotismββ.
In the literature arts category, Caporal Badawe Nibe Joseph serving at the Head Quarters Brigade received the first prize. Lieutenant Bengala Jean Jacques serving at the General Staff of the Yaounde 2 Gendarmerie Company, won the award for the best visual work.
In musical arts, Sergeant Ambanga Ayissi AimΓ© serving at the Directorate of Sports, Cultural and Artistic Activities (DSACA), impressed the jury with the relevance of his work titled ββLet us Uniteββ. It should be noted that, this yearβs MINDEF Artistic Major Award took place from 16 to 26 September 2024. Its aim is to promote and enhance the talents and genuis of military and civilian personnel within the Ministry of Defence while fostering their full development in their chosen fields.
