On Friday February 14, 2025 at the esplanade of the Army Headquarter in Yaounde, the Minister Delegate at the Presidency in charge of Defence, Beti Assomo Joseph alongside the Ambassador of Turkey to Cameroon, His Excellency Volkan Oskiper visited the Army new Language Laboratory, innovated by “VISA LONGCHAMP COMPANY LT”.

This architectural jewel was inaugurated on October 30,2024 to act as a pivotal step towards improving communication and cultural awareness within the Defence Forces.

It should be recalled that this modern laboratory facility covers a surface area of approximately 556m2 and contains offices, modern classrooms, a digital library and an advanced technological installation, including a robust information technology (IT) network for wireless communication.

Languages that will be taught in this laboratory will include English, Turkish, Arabic, Russian, German, Portuguese, Mandarin Chinese, and Spanish. This academic jewel is dedicated to fostering bilingualism amongst the civilian and military personnel of the Defence Forces.

From the facial expression and anxiety on the face of the Turkish Ambassador to Cameroon who accompanied the Minister Delegate at the Presidency in charge of Defence round the laboratory, one could literally depict a sign of relief and satisfaction from what he saw.
