Discussions that were led by a panel of experts with both scientific and professional expertise comprised of workshops on topics related to the management of war victims, providing solutions to ease the sufferings of individuals who have suffered disabilities in battle grounds and conflict zones.
The presentations of by some high-profile personalities including that of the Head of the International committee of the Red Cross Delegation, Mr Yann Paul Marie Bonzon centered on narratives of resilience and reconstruction for the military and civilian targets of war, emphases laid on the laws government the treatment reserved for war victims as stipulated by the Geneva convention resolutions.
Discussions during the closing ceremony included a panel talk led by the Director of the United Nations sub-regional center for human rights and democracy in Central Africa (UNCHRD-CA), Mr Nouhoum Sangare who emphasized on the strategic contributions of international organizations with regards war victims, manifested through Humanitarian actions and judicial proceedings and reparations.
The symposium which aimed at conducting an in-depth reflection on the management of war victims in general, sought to propose a renewed legal framework and an optimal public action to support vulnerable populations.
