The growing geopolitical, geostrategic and geo-economic interests of the Gulf of Guinea (GoG) for African and International Actors are jeopardized by multiple maritime threats. In recent years, GoG countries have shown willingness to find appropriate and collective defensive responses against these threats. The effectiveness of these responses is critically dependent on efficient Maritime Domain Awareness (MDA) as a prerequisite.
