“Swearing-in of Naval Officers as Special Judicial Police Officers”
In execution of the terms of Law No. 2022/017 of December 27, 2022, on the suppression of piracy, terrorism and attacks on the safety of maritime navigation and platforms,

a hundred Naval Officers, for a first, were sworn in on March 28 and April 05, 2024 at the Military Court of Douala as Judicial Police Officers with Special Jurisdiction,  at the end of a week-long seminar at the Douala Naval Base.

This qualification will enable them to effectively conduct investigations and conduct specific operations related to offences committed in maritime areas under Cameroonian jurisdiction.
