Organisation

  1. The Department of Human Resources shall be placed under the authority of a director, an officer appointed by decree of the President of the Republic, assisted if need be, by a deputy, an officer or civil servant appointed by order of the President of the Republic. The Director of Human Resources shall have under his authority, Research Officers and Assistant Research Officers, officers or civil servants appointed by order of the President of the Republic.
  2. The Director of Human Resources may receive by order of the Minister Delegate in charge of Defence, delegation of signature for certain matters his
  3. The ranks and prerogatives of the Officers referred to in paragraph I above shall be laid down by separate instruments.

The Department Human Resources shall comprise:

– the secretariat;

– the Stores Bureau;

– the Means Bureau;

– the Initial and Continuing Training Follow-up Bureau;

– the Data-Processing Service ;

– the National Reserve Recruitment Card- index recruitment and Mobilisation Service;

– the Counselling  and Orientation Service;

– the Personnel Postings and Transfer Service;

– the Chancellery Service;

Under the authority of a service head, the Data-Processing Service shall comprise :

the Analysis Bureau;

the Data-Processing Bureau ;

the Codification Bureau.

Under the authority of a service head, the National Reserve,

Recruitment Card-index and  Mobilisation shall comprise:

– the Recruitment Bureau;

– the National Card-Index Bureau;

– the Reserves and Mobilisation Bureau.

1°) Under the authority of a service head, the Conselling and Orientation Service shall be in charge of conceiving, preparing and implementing psychotechnical tests necessary for personnel orientation.

2°) It shall comprise  Assistant Reasearch Officers appointed by order of the President of the Republic.

Under the authority of a service head. the Personnel Postings and Transfer Service shall comprise :

– the Military Personnel Management Service;

– the Civilian Personnel Management Service;

– the Trainee Follow-up Bureau.

Under the authority of a service head, the Chancellery Service shall comprise:

– the Advancements Bureau;

– the Discipline Bureau.

Organisational chart

Missions

The Department of Human Resources shall be responsible of managing

the military and civilian personnel of the Gendarmerie and the Armed Forces.

In this capacity and in conjunction with the competent services of the Gendarmerie,

 Secretariat of State in charge of Ex-Servicemen and War Victims,

 the Defence Staff, Army Staff, Air Force Staff, the Navy  Staff and the command of the National Fire Brigade, it shall be in charge of :

  • general recruitment problems;

  • relations with the Ministry of the Public Service and Administrative Reform;

– mobilisation problems;

– keeping of the National Defence Card-index;

– following up the initial training and continuing training of servicemen.
