The delegation immersed itself in two prominent institutions of higher military education before concluding the day at the foot of the Christ the Redeemer statue.

The morning began at the Brazilian Army Command and General Staff College (ECEME), an institution dedicated to training senior officers for command and staff responsibilities. The briefings highlighted a rigorous approach to land maneuvers and operational leadership. The close alignment between ECEME’s mission and that of ESIG fostered a highly productive dialogue on doctrines and teaching methodologies.

The delegation then proceeded to the Naval War College (EGN), the core center for the country’s maritime and strategic thinking. The tour of several simulation rooms dedicated to wargaming particularly captured the student officers’ attention. These environments, which replicate naval maneuvers and scenarios, perfectly illustrate the critical role modeling and simulation play in decision-making and preparing future military leaders.

The day concluded with a memorable cultural experience at the summit of Corcovado, where the Christ the Redeemer statue—one of the New Wonders of the World—overlooks Rio de Janeiro’s bay. This moment of reflection offered a stunning panoramic view, reminding everyone that understanding a host country also requires connecting with its heritage and soul.

This eighth milestone beautifully combined advanced military thought with the discovery of a universal landmark. It reaffirms that cooperation between Cameroon, African nations, and Brazil thrives as much on shared expertise as it does on human and cultural connections.
