A NEW ERA FOR CISA AS LIEUTENANT COLONEL ENGOULOU ASSUMES COMMAND
Lieutenant Colonel Engoulou Médard Maximilien Galilée was officially commissioned as Commander of the Centre for the Training of Military Specialists (CISA) on September 9, 2026, during a ceremony presided over by Brigadier General Nka Valère, Commander of the Joint Military Training Centers and Schools, at the parade ground of the Headquarter’s Brigade.

The ceremony featured the symbolic transfer of command. The outgoing commander handed over the command flag to Brigadier General Nka Valère, who in turn entrusted it to Lieutenant Colonel Engoulou Médard Maximilien Galilée. Amid applause and cheers from family members, colleagues, friends, and current trainees of the institution, the newly appointed commander received the emblem, officially assuming his new responsibilities.

Following the transfer of power, Brigadier General Nka Valère formally presented Lieutenant Colonel Engoulou Médard Maximilien Galilée to the trainees as their new commander. In keeping with military tradition, the newly commissioned officer was then invited to take command of the troops assembled for the occasion.

The ceremony concluded with family photographs and a convivial reception, bringing to a close a significant milestone in the leadership of the Centre for the Training of Military Specialists.

A former student of Okola High School, Lieutenant Colonel Engoulou Médard pursued higher education at the Faculty of Law and Political Science of the University of Yaoundé II-Soa, where he obtained a DEUG in Fundamental Law in 2004 before earning a Bachelor’s Degree in Public Law.

While continuing his university studies, he successfully passed the competitive entrance examination into the French Air Force Commissariat School. He subsequently underwent two years of military training at the 701 Airforce Base in Salon-de-Provence, France, while simultaneously obtaining a Master’s Degree (Master 2) in Public Law from Paul Cézanne University of Aix-Marseille III.

Throughout his career, Lieutenant Colonel Engoulou has held numerous responsibilities within the Ministry of Defence, including serving as a research officer at the Military Secretariat, a position he occupied until his appointment as Commander of CISA.

His dedication and professionalism have earned him several honorary distinctions and decorations. Married and a father, Lieutenant Colonel Engoulou Médard Maximilien Galilée embodies a blend of academic excellence, strategic expertise, and unwavering commitment to the Cameroon Defence Forces.
