The second batch christened “Vicomte du Cap Froid” comprised of 192 cadet Officers that is 185 Brazilians and 7 from the Navy of Friendly Countries.
Once again Cameroon marked its participation with the representation of two young officers specialized on one hand in mechanics and propulsion and on the other hand in electronics. They successfully completed 5 years of Navy officer training course and graduated with a Bachelor’s degree in Naval Sciences and an Officer Training Certificate.
The event, which reflects the official entry of our young compatriots into the Cameroonian Officer Corps, was marked by the presence of the Brazilian Minister of Defence and the different Chiefs of Staff.
The young Cameroonian officers received their epaulettes from the Defence Attaché of Cameroon to Brazil.
After the solemn event, the Defence Attaché seized the occasion to offer a common meal with the presence of 8 other Cameroonian cadet officers currently undergoing training in the institution.
As in the Brazilian Army Academy, it should be noted that Cameroon has the largest number of cadet officers as compared to other friendly countries.
