BIR RECRUITMENT 2025: 350 CANDIDATES PRESELECTED IN DOUALA
In a fiercely competitive contest on August 5,2025 at the environs of the Douala Japuma stadium, 428 candidates from the Littoral Region and 197 from the South West Region, all declared medically fit, vied for a prestigious place among the preselected candidates for the Rapid Intervention Battalion (BIR).

After a grueling selection process, only 350 candidates emerged victorious, with 200 from the Littoral Region and 150 from the South West Region securing elite positions.

This brings the total number of preselected candidates to 3,750 across the eight regions the National Recruitment Commission has visited so far. Mbih Kollo Jupitaire, a 20-year-old from the Nkam Division in the Littoral Region, and Mbome Elad D’aquie, a 21-year-old from the Kupe Manenguba in the South West Region, distinguished themselves as the overall best in their respective regions. They were awarded yellow jerseys by Samuel Ivaha Diboua, the number one official in the region.

The recruitment caravan has now embarked on its final lap, which will take place in the West Region starting August 5, 2025. The commission will identify the most capable candidates to join the Rapid Intervention Battalion BIR.
