The commission has commenced the identification and orientation process for candidates from the North West Region, numbering 324, and has moved on to candidates from the West Region, who total 1078, almost four times the number from the North West Region.

In preparation for the preselection test, everything is set for the candidates to undertake a 20km run with a 20kg sandbag load on Thursday, August 7, 2025. The test will take place in the presence of all the administrative authorities of the region, underscoring the importance of this recruitment drive for the BIR.
